Cats Trailer 2019

Every time you think things can't get worse, somehow, remarkably, they do. This week we can thank the CATS trailer for that. It's a deranged phantasmagoria of sexualized cats, Tokyo Drift lighting, and truly demented anatomical impossibilities. Directed by Tom Hooper (who should have been banned from musicals after Les Miserables) and starring a cavalcade of big names including Jennifer Hudson, Idris Elba, Judi Dench, Ian McKellan, and Taylor Swift, our shared nightmare hits theaters December 20, 2019.
Expect to hear the haunting refrain of "Memory," as performed by Jennifer Hudson, approximately 80 times in the office today: There's a good chance your coworkers are all watching the "Cats" trailer, and there's a very good chance they're all horrified by it.
The trailer dropped Thursday for the live action adaptation of the Andrew Lloyd-Webber musical, starring Hudson alongside Taylor Swift, Idris Elba, James Corden, Jason Derulo, Judi Dench and the Royal Ballet's Francesca Hayward among others. Alas, if Twitter's anything to go by, the internet was more mystified than enchanted -- and in some cases, downright terrified.

Cats Traile Song is Creepiest Thing You'll Ever See.............

The first trailer for Cats, the next classic musical to hit the big screen, was released yesterday and it's all the Internet can talk about. Directed by Tom Hooper (Les Misérables, The King’s Speech), the new movie has been the subject of memes and jokes that will delight even folks who aren’t musical fans. Many people have joked that the new trailer is terrifying, with the CGI cat people looking quite unlike anything anyone has ever seen before. One of the trends has been setting the trailer to different music, which one comedian did with the remixed version "I Got 5 On It" by Luniz, which was used for Jordan Peele’s Us trailer.
